Marsh Warbler
Acrocephalus palustris

Kærsanger er en 12,5 cm stor spurvefugl, der er udbredt i store dele af Europa samt mod øst til Iran i Asien. Den lever i høj og tæt urtevegetation, ofte i fugtige områder nær søer.
A small, plain with a slim bill tapering to a fine point. The back carries a brownish tone with a hint of green, the underparts are whitish-yellow, and the legs are pale. It closely resembles the Reed Warbler in and is most safely told apart by song.
Can be confused with
- Eurasian Reed Warbler — Reed Warbler is uniformly olive-brown above with no greenish cast, has darker legs and a darker underside than the Marsh Warbler, and sings a monotonous, unvarying run with no mimicry, against the Marsh Warbler’s song, which is packed with borrowings from other species.
Voice
The song runs on unbroken for long stretches, built from mimicked calls and phrases borrowed from countless other birds, picked up both here in the breeding season and in its African winter quarters.
