Eurasian Skylark
Alauda arvensis
Sanglærken er en spurvefugl på cirka 18 centimeter, der forekommer spontant i Europa, Nordafrika og dele af Asien og desuden er introduceret til andre verdensdele. Lærken er en af Danmarks mest almindelige fugle, hvor den som oprindelig græssteppefugl har formået at tilpasse sig det åbne kulturlandskab.
Grey-brown, with heavy streaking on the upperparts and breast and a pale belly, with a small raisable crest. In flight white outer tail feathers and a narrow white to the wing.
Voice
It sings a clear, bubbling, endless stream of notes in song-flight — rising, circling or hanging high over the field, often for minutes at a stretch.
