Engpiber er en mindre spurvefugl, der er udbredt i Europa og det vestlige Asien. I Danmark er den en almindelig ynglefugl i åbne, udyrkede områder som strandenge eller ved søbredder.

Field marks

Small, nondescript streaked brown with whitish, finely streaked underparts, pale reddish legs and a very long hind claw. Walks with a trip on the ground.

Can be confused with

  • Tree Pipit — Tree Pipit is very similar but has a yellowish wash on the breast with bolder streaks, a shorter hind claw and perches in trees; best told by voice.
